Honourable Mention Winner of The Globe and Mail & Telus Small Business Challenge
Gold Cross Home Care has been awarded the title of Honourable Mention Winner of the Small Business Challenge Grant, sponsored by The Globe and Mail and Telus Corporation. Fifty of the most honourable winners were mentioned in the Globe and Mail’s The Challenge Contest article – look for our name on the list!
More than 3,300 small businesses entered the challenge from across Canada. From this large contestant group, the judges chose only 50 winners worthy of the Honourable Mentions title, out of which Gold Cross Home Care was one of them – the only winner from Hamilton, Ontario!
The Small Business Challenge is a competition for “Small business is doing big things”. With the impact we have made in the Hamilton community lately by winning Platinum in The Hamilton Spectator’s 2014 Reader’s Choice Award in the category of Best Home Health Care, entering this small business competition was the next step.
We shared our vision for success with the judges; our goal to offer the highest standard of dignified home and health care to our clients, talked about the challenges we face and those we have overcome as a small business as well as how the grant would greatly benefit the development of our business.
Though not being one of the grand prize winners, we are excited that we have been one of the small businesses chosen to be honourably mentioned. Gold Cross Home Care has recently been the recipient of The Hamilton Spectator Reader’s Choice Award for 2015, making it the second consecutive year we have won Platinum in the category of Best Home Health Care in the city.
We are not only honoured to have been one of the fifty small businesses to be honourably mentioned but we are also inspired to continually offer the best in home health care with Platinum winning service.
